Indonesia dominates imports structure, finishing at X tons, which was approx. 85% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X tons), comprising a 6.1% share of total imports. The following importers - the Philippines (X tons), Singapore (X tons) and Malaysia (X tons) - together made up 7.7% of total imports.

Imports into Indonesia increased at an average annual rate of +13.7% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the Philippines (+51.3%), Malaysia (+30.6%) and Thailand (+13.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Philippines emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +51.3% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Singapore (-7.6%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand increased by +24, +2.9 and +1.6 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with an 8.6% share of total imports. It was followed by the Philippines, with a 3.9% share.
