The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, dolomite export price decreased by -27.1% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when the export price increased by 15%. Imports in South-Eastern Asia

For the fifth year in a row, South-Eastern Asia recorded growth in purchases abroad of dolomite, which increased by 148% to X tons in 2021. In general, imports continue to indicate significant growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, dolomite imports soared to $X in 2021. Overall, imports recorded a significant increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 98% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

Imports by Country

Indonesia was the largest importing country with an import of about X tons, which recorded 68% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons), together making up a 31% share of total imports.

Indonesia was also the fastest-growing in terms of the dolomite imports, with a CAGR of +89.0% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Vietnam (+35.4%) and Malaysia (+34.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. While the share of Indonesia (+65 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
