Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Thailand was the main exporter of electro-thermic appliances or domestic purposes in South-Eastern Asia, with the volume of exports resulting at X units, which was approx. 70% of total exports in 2021. Singapore (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Vietnam (X units) and Malaysia (X units). All these countries together held approx. 25% share of total exports. Indonesia (X units) held a relatively small share of total exports.

The second position in the ranking was held by Singapore ($X), with a 21% share of total exports. It was followed by Indonesia, with an 11% share.

In Thailand, electro-thermic appliances or domestic purposes exports shrank by an average annual rate of -8.0% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Singapore (+12.5% per year) and Indonesia (+32.7% per year).

Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a deep reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 32% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, electro-thermic appliances or domestic purposes imports declined sharply to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a perceptible reduction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
