These countries were followed by Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia, which together accounted for a further 33%.

Among the main importing countries, Cambodia, with a CAGR of +62.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the imports figures.

The import price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, falling by -3.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a mild contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when the import price increased by 81%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.
