In value terms, fruit flour production expanded rapidly to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. The total production indicated temperate growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +3.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, production increased by +33.0% against 2016 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 69% against the previous year. The level of production peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

Exports in South-Eastern Asia
In 2022, shipments abroad of fruit flour decreased by -18.7% to X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Total exports indicated a perceptible increase from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when exports increased by 60% against the previous year. The volume of export peaked at X tons in 2021, and then contracted notably in the following year.
In value terms, fruit flour exports fell to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, recorded buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 35% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
Exports by Country
Vietnam (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Indonesia (X tons), Singapore (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons) represented roughly 93% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X tons), making up a 6.5% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Singapore (with a CAGR of +51.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Vietnam ($X), Malaysia ($X) and Indonesia ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2022, together comprising 75% of total exports. Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 25%.
Singapore, with a CAGR of +47.4%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 7% against the previous year. In general, the export price enjoyed a perceptible increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 an increase of 90%. The level of export peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in years to come.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+9.3%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in South-Eastern Asia
In 2022, after three years of growth, there was significant decline in purchases abroad of fruit flour, when their volume decreased by -16.9% to X tons. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate resilient growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 143% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2021, and then contracted markedly in the following year.
In value terms, fruit flour imports reduced modestly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 141% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2021, and then contracted slightly in the following year.
Imports by Country
Singapore represented the key importing country with an import of about X tons, which accounted for 56% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X tons), Thailand (X tons), Indonesia (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons), together committing a 40% share of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) held a relatively small share of total imports.
Singapore was also the fastest-growing in terms of the fruit flour imports, with a CAGR of +30.3% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Thailand (+26.3%), the Philippines (+24.2%), Indonesia (+5.8%) and Vietnam (+4.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Malaysia (-3.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Singapore (+44 p.p.), Thailand (+9.1 p.p.) and the Philippines (+3.1 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia saw its share reduced by -3.4%, -6.4% and -42.8% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.
In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported fruit flour in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 47% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($X), with a 17% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 16% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Singapore stood at +27.1%. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Malaysia (+3.2% per year) and Thailand (+25.3% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, growing by 15% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.0%. The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while Singapore ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
