There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per unit), while Malaysia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Malaysia (+5.7%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.

Hearing aid imports totaled X units in 2021, approximately equating the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports recorded temperate growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 39%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, hearing aid imports totaled $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a moderate increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +103.3% against 2015 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 43% against the previous year. The Philippines (X units) and Singapore (X units) represented roughly 77% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X units), committing an 18% share of total imports. Thailand (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in the Philippines (with a CAGR of +53.5%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported hearing aids (excl. parts and accessories) in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the Philippines ($X), with a 20% share of total imports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 7.7% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Singapore amounted to -2.2%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the Philippines (+39.2% per year) and Malaysia (+8.5% per year).
