The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 178%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In 2021, Malaysia (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) were the major exporters of inactive yeasts and other dead single-cell micro-organisms in South-Eastern Asia, together resulting at near 68% of total exports.
