In 2022, Vietnam (X units) was the main exporter of ink-pads, comprising 44% of total exports. Malaysia (X units) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Singapore (X units) and Thailand (X units). All these countries together took approx. 54% share of total exports. Indonesia (X units) held a little share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Indonesia (with a CAGR of +13.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.

The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 18%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per unit), while Indonesia (less than $X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, imports of ink-pads in South-Eastern Asia rose significantly to X units, surging by 11% on the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 49% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, ink-pad imports surged to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 49%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2019 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Indonesia (X units) was the key importer of ink-pads, constituting 53% of total imports. Malaysia (X units) took a 23% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Vietnam (9.9%) and Singapore (4.5%). The Philippines (X units) and Thailand (X units) held a minor share of total imports.

In value terms, the largest ink-pad importing markets in South-Eastern Asia were Malaysia ($X), Vietnam ($X) and Indonesia ($X), together comprising 78% of total imports.

Indonesia, with a CAGR of +21.9%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, rising by 22% against the previous year. Import price indicated a perceptible expansion from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +2.9% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, ink-pad import price increased by +72.0% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the import price increased by 55%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.
