In value terms, Singapore ($X) remains the largest feedstuff preparing machinery supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 60% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Vietnam ($X), with a 21% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 15% share.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Singapore stood at +3.1%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Vietnam (+7.2% per year) and Malaysia (+6.0% per year).

In 2021, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, picking up by 5.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 an increase of 17% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +7.4% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +7.9% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Imports by Country

The countries with the highest levels of feedstuff preparing machinery imports in 2021 were Vietnam (X units), the Philippines (X units), Thailand (X units) and Indonesia (X units), together amounting to 94% of total import. The following importers - Malaysia (X units) and Myanmar (X units) - each amounted to a 4.2% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Myanmar (with a CAGR of +34.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest feedstuff preparing machinery importing markets in South-Eastern Asia were Vietnam ($X), the Philippines ($X) and Indonesia ($X), with a combined 89% share of total imports. Thailand, Malaysia and Myanmar lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 9.7%.

Myanmar, with a CAGR of +33.8%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, declining by -12.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 18% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2020, and then reduced in the following year.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the Philippines ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by the Philippines (+11.6%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the import price figures.
