Exports from Vietnam increased at an average annual rate of +11.0% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Thailand (+11.6%), the Philippines (+9.1%) and Malaysia (+2.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +11.6% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Singapore (-2.8%) and Indonesia (-10.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Vietnam (+20 p.p.), the Philippines (+4.3 p.p.) and Thailand (+2 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Malaysia (-4.5 p.p.), Indonesia (-10.9 p.p.) and Singapore (-11 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Vietnam ($X) remains the largest paperboard container machine supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 71% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Singapore ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 10% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Vietnam amounted to +9.0%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Singapore (+0.1% per year) and Malaysia (+1.4% per year).
