In value terms, Indonesia ($X) remains the largest manifold business form supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 67% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($X), with a 27% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Indonesia totaled +7.2%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Malaysia (+49.7% per year) and Singapore (-21.2% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -2.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price showed a pronounced decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 27% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. From 2015 to 2022, the export prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while Indonesia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, supplies from abroad of manifold business forms and interleaved carbon sets was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2019, thus ending a two-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 with an increase of 368%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

Singapore experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of manifold business forms and interleaved carbon sets. At the same time, Cambodia (+44.8%), the Philippines (+9.6%) and Vietnam (+3.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Cambodia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +44.8% from 2012-2022. Indonesia experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Thailand (-1.1%) and Malaysia (-5.4%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Singapore (+3.9 p.p.), Vietnam (+2.2 p.p.) and Cambodia (+2.2 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Malaysia (-9 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported manifold business forms and interleaved carbon sets in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 61% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Malaysia ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 12% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Singapore amounted to +5.0%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Malaysia (+1.5% per year) and Thailand (+2.2% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2022, reducing by -1.6% against the previous year. Import price indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2022: its price increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, manifold business form import price increased by +2.2% against 2018 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when the import price increased by 51% against the previous year.
