Mixed juices exports amounted to X tons in 2022, almost unchanged from 2021 figures. Over the period under review, exports continue to indicate a buoyant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 37% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, mixed juices exports totaled $X in 2022. In general, exports saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 with an increase of 43%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the maximum in 2022 and are likely to continue growth in the near future.

Exports by Country

Thailand dominates exports structure, accounting for X tons, which was near 89% of total exports in 2022. The following exporters - the Philippines (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Vietnam (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) - together made up 10% of total exports.

Exports from Thailand increased at an average annual rate of +12.9% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (+15.0%) and Indonesia (+12.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +15.0% from 2012-2022. The Philippines experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. By contrast, Malaysia (-7.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Thailand increased by +20 percentage points. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Thailand ($X) remains the largest mixed juices supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 86% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Indonesia ($X), with a 3.4% share of total exports. It was followed by Malaysia, with a 3% share.

In Thailand, mixed juices exports increased at an average annual rate of +15.3% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Indonesia (+23.0% per year) and Malaysia (-6.4% per year).

Export Prices by Country

In 2022, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, leveling off at the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw modest growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when the export price increased by 9.3%. Over the period under review, the export prices reached the maximum at $X per ton in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, the export prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Indonesia ($X per ton), while the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

In 2022, purchases abroad of mixtures of fruit and vegetable juices was finally on the rise to reach X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year declining trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a perceptible shrinkage. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the Philippines (X tons) represented the main importer of mixtures of fruit and vegetable juices, making up 43% of total imports. Malaysia (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Singapore (X tons), Lao People's Democratic Republic (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons). All these countries together held near 46% share of total imports. The following importers - Cambodia (X tons), Thailand (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons) - together made up 7.5% of total imports.

Imports into the Philippines increased at an average annual rate of +3.7% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Vietnam (+5.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Vietnam emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +5.4% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Lao People's Democratic Republic (-2.1%), Cambodia (-3.3%), Thailand (-4.3%), Singapore (-6.8%), Malaysia (-11.2%) and Indonesia (-16.9%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of the Philippines, Vietnam and Lao People's Democratic Republic increased by +23, +3.5 and +2.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the Philippines ($X), Singapore ($X) and Malaysia ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2022, with a combined 64% share of total imports.

The Philippines, with a CAGR of +7.0%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -7.3% against the previous year. In general, the import price, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the import price increased by 8.9%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then fell in the following year.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per ton), while Lao People's Democratic Republic ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
