The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, Vietnam (X tons) represented the main exporter of molybdenum oxides and hydroxides, constituting 57% of total exports. Thailand (X tons) held the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by the Philippines (X tons) and Singapore (X tons). All these countries together held near 43% share of total exports.
Exports from Vietnam increased at an average annual rate of +15.2% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, the Philippines (+97.0%) and Singapore (+19.2%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, the Philippines emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +97.0% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Thailand (-14.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Vietnam, the Philippines and Singapore increased by +45, +12 and +7.4 percentage points, respectively.
In value terms, Vietnam ($X) remains the largest molybdenum oxides and hydroxides supplier in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 90% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Singapore ($X), with a 5.1% share of total exports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 3.3% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in Vietnam totaled +12.1%. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Singapore (+3.4% per year) and Thailand (-31.1% per year).

In 2022, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, reducing by -27% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the export price recorded a pronounced curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when the export price increased by 90% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2022, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while the Philippines ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (-2.7%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the export price figures.
Imports of Molybdenum Oxides And Hydroxides
Imports in South-Eastern Asia
Molybdenum oxides and hydroxides imports plummeted to X tons in 2022, reducing by -47.7% against the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, saw a significant expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 1,792% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, molybdenum oxides and hydroxides imports fell notably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, continue to indicate significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 3,943% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
Vietnam represented the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which reached 70% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Singapore (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons), together committing a 29% share of total imports.
Vietnam was also the fastest-growing in terms of the molybdenum oxides and hydroxides imports, with a CAGR of +43.4% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Singapore (+42.5%) and Indonesia (+16.5%) displayed positive paces of growth.
