In value terms, noils of wool exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, saw a abrupt descent. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 66% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Thailand was the key exporter of noils of wool or fine animal hair in South-Eastern Asia, with the volume of exports accounting for X tons, which was near 69% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons), together mixing up a 31% share of total exports.

In Thailand, noils of wool exports expanded at an average annual rate of +19.0% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Malaysia (-25.0% per year) and Vietnam (+60.5% per year).
Export Prices by Country
In 2021, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, shrinking by -14.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw a pronounced contraction. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when the export price increased by 8.6%. The level of export peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per ton), while Malaysia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Vietnam (+3.2%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in South-Eastern Asia
In 2021, imports of noils of wool or fine animal hair in South-Eastern Asia shrank markedly to X kg, falling by -57.1% compared with 2020 figures. In general, imports faced a significant decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when imports increased by 10,777%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, noils of wool imports reduced rapidly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports faced a precipitous decrease. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 2,878% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
