Malaysia was the largest exporter of non-medical x-rays in South-Eastern Asia, with the volume of exports finishing at X tons, which was near 88% of total exports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Singapore (X tons), making up an 11% share of total exports.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 46%. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, non-medical x-ray imports surged to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.1% over the last nine-year period.
