In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a sharp reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 when exports increased by 69%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, preserved asparagus imports dropped modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 45%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.
