The Philippines (X units) and Vietnam (X units) represented roughly 53% of total exports in 2021. Thailand (X units) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Malaysia (X units), Indonesia (X units) and Singapore (X units). All these countries together held approx. 47% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for the Philippines (with a CAGR of +14.9%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the exports figures.
In value terms, Vietnam ($X), the Philippines ($X) and Singapore ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 71% share of total exports.
The Philippines, with a CAGR of +16.3%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced a decline in the exports figures.
Export Prices by Country
The export price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, shrinking by -12.7% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a noticeable contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 when the export price increased by 15% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, the export prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per unit), while Thailand ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports in South-Eastern Asia
In 2021, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in purchases abroad of printers, copying machines and facsimile machines, when their volume increased by 55% to X units. In general, imports, however, recorded a slight curtailment. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country
Singapore represented the main importer of printers, copying machines and facsimile machines in South-Eastern Asia, with the volume of imports reaching X units, which was near 53% of total imports in 2021. Thailand (X units) held an 18% share (based on physical terms) of total imports, which put it in second place, followed by Indonesia (11%), Vietnam (7.8%), Malaysia (5.7%) and the Philippines (5.2%).
Singapore experienced a relatively flat trend pattern with regard to volume of imports of printers, copying machines and facsimile machines. At the same time, Thailand (+2.9%) and Vietnam (+1.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Thailand emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +2.9% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Malaysia (-2.7%), the Philippines (-6.0%) and Indonesia (-9.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Singapore (+9.2 p.p.), Thailand (+5.4 p.p.) and Vietnam (+1.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while the Philippines and Indonesia saw its share reduced by -3% and -12.3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported printers, copying machines and facsimile machines in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 42% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Vietnam ($X), with a 16% share of total imports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 13% share.
In Singapore, printers and copying machines imports contracted by an average annual rate of -4.7% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Vietnam (+3.1% per year) and Indonesia (-3.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
The import price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, waning by -22.1% against the previous year. In general, the import price saw a perceptible contraction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 41%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
