In value terms, the largest refractory products of siliceous or diatomite earths importing markets in South-Eastern Asia were Malaysia ($X), Singapore ($X) and the Philippines ($X), with a combined 73% share of total imports. Vietnam, Timor-Leste and Myanmar lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 18%.
In terms of the main importing countries, Timor-Leste, with a CAGR of +17.0%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The import price in South-Eastern Asia stood at $X per ton in 2021, dropping by -7.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price recorded a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 an increase of 29%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while Timor-Leste ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
