The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 40%. As a result, the exports reached the peak of X tons, and then shrank in the following year.

In value terms, vulcanised rubber seal exports declined slightly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +30.7% against 2020 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 37%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X, and then declined modestly in the following year.

Vietnam (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) represented the major exporters of seals of vulcanised rubber in 2022, reaching near 36% and 33% of total exports, respectively. Singapore (X tons) took the next position in the ranking, followed by Malaysia (X tons) and Indonesia (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 27% share of total exports. The Philippines (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Total imports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +57.2% against 2014 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 25%. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2021, and then dropped slightly in the following year.

In value terms, vulcanised rubber seal imports reached $X in 2022. Total imports indicated measured growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.7% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +25.4% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 25%. The level of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, Indonesia (X tons), Malaysia (X tons), Vietnam (X tons), Singapore (X tons) and the Philippines (X tons) represented the key importer of seals of vulcanised rubber in South-Eastern Asia, making up 91% of total import. It was distantly followed by Thailand (X tons), committing a 6.3% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main importing countries, was attained by the Philippines (with a CAGR of +15.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
