In terms of the main exporting countries, Myanmar, with a CAGR of +89.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the export price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, dropping by -7.8% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.1%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the export price increased by 42%. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton, and then declined in the following year.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Singapore ($X per ton), while Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Overall, imports continue to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 224% against the previous year. In value terms, skis imports fell modestly to $X in 2021. In general, imports recorded a abrupt setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 174%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Singapore (X tons) represented the key importer of skis for winter sports, creating 56% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Indonesia (X kg), Cambodia (X kg) and Thailand (X kg), together creating a 30% share of total imports. The following importers - Myanmar (X kg), Malaysia (X kg) and Vietnam (X kg) - each accounted for a 12% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to skis imports into Singapore stood at -15.6%. At the same time, Myanmar (+31.8%) and Cambodia (+18.9%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Myanmar emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in South-Eastern Asia, with a CAGR of +31.8% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Indonesia (-1.6%), Thailand (-5.4%), Malaysia (-13.5%) and Vietnam (-22.1%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Indonesia (+14 p.p.), Singapore (+7.7 p.p.), Cambodia (+6.2 p.p.), Myanmar (+4.1 p.p.) and Thailand (+3.6 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Vietnam saw its share reduced by -3% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported skis for winter sports in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 53% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Thailand ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Indonesia, with a 9.5% share.
In Singapore, skis imports decreased by an average annual rate of -14.6% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Thailand (+7.5% per year) and Indonesia (+6.7% per year).
Import Prices by Country
In 2021, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, picking up by 1.8% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +2.9%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 an increase of 18% against the previous year.
