In value terms, unbleached sulphite pulp exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, exports showed a prominent expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when exports increased by 38%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.

Singapore dominates exports structure, resulting at X tons, which was near 89% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Malaysia (X tons), creating a 6.3% share of total exports. Indonesia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, unbleached sulphite pulp imports reduced to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a abrupt curtailment. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 77% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

The Philippines represented the main importing country with an import of about X tons, which accounted for 65% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Indonesia (X tons), creating a 28% share of total imports. Vietnam (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.

The Philippines was also the fastest-growing in terms of the unbleached sulphite pulp imports, with a CAGR of -19.1% from 2012 to 2022.
