In value terms, video game console imports surged to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

Singapore represented the major importer of video game consoles in South-Eastern Asia, with the volume of imports resulting at X units, which was approx. 48% of total imports in 2022. Malaysia (X units) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Thailand (X units). All these countries together held approx. 45% share of total imports. The following importers - the Philippines (X units) and Indonesia (X units) - together made up 5.8% of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Thailand (with a CAGR of +43.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Singapore ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported video game consoles in South-Eastern Asia, comprising 71% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Malaysia ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Thailand, with a 9.1% share.

In Singapore, video game console imports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Malaysia (-4.0% per year) and Thailand (+34.5% per year).
