In terms of the main importing countries, the Philippines, with a CAGR of +52.5%, saw the highest growth rate of the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per ton, falling by -7.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a pronounced contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 an increase of 12%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per ton in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Thailand ($X per ton), while Cambodia ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
