The volume of export peaked at X units in 2021, and then contracted significantly in the following year.

In value terms, bracelet exports shrank slightly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a strong expansion from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.0% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +42.3% against 2020 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 72% against the previous year. The level of export peaked at $X in 2021, and then reduced slightly in the following year.

In 2022, Vietnam (X units) represented the largest exporter of watch straps, bands and bracelets, achieving 40% of total exports. It was distantly followed by Cambodia (X units), Singapore (X units) and Thailand (X units), together achieving a 51% share of total exports. The following exporters - Myanmar (X units), the Philippines (X units) and Malaysia (X units) - together made up 8.3% of total exports.

Overall, imports continue to indicate a remarkable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 44%. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In 2022, the import price in South-Eastern Asia amounted to $X per unit, waning by -4.8% against the previous year. Overall, the import price saw a pronounced downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 39%. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit. From 2014 to 2022, the import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Vietnam ($X per unit), while Myanmar (less than $X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
