Watermelon Market Size in South-Eastern Asia

Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, watermelon imports stood at $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when imports increased by 40%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Singapore was the key importer of watermelons in South-Eastern Asia, with the volume of imports amounting to X tons, which was near 75% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Brunei Darussalam (X tons), achieving a 22% share of total imports. Malaysia (X tons) took a minor share of total imports.
