Amplifier Market Size in Southern Asia

In 2022, the South Asian amplifier market decreased by -12.9% to $X for the first time since 2017, thus ending a four-year rising trend. Over the period under review, consumption, however, continues to indicate a resilient increase. The level of consumption peaked at $X in 2021, and then dropped in the following year.

Amplifier Production in Southern Asia

In value terms, amplifier production expanded modestly to $X in 2022 estimated in export price. The total production indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.3% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, production decreased by -3.2% against 2020 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when the production volume increased by 21%. The level of production peaked at $X in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, production stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports in Southern Asia

In 2022, overseas shipments of amplifiers increased by 13% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after three years of decline. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep downturn. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 30% against the previous year. As a result, the exports attained the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, amplifier exports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. In general, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable curtailment. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports by Country

The shipments of the one major exporters of amplifiers, namely India, represented more than two-thirds of total export.

India was also the fastest-growing in terms of the amplifiers exports, with a CAGR of -8.5% from 2012 to 2022. The shares of the largest exporters remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, India ($X) also remains the largest amplifier supplier in Southern Asia.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value in India totaled -3.3%.

Export Prices by Country

The export price in Southern Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, rising by 44% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate a prominent expansion. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

As there is only one major export destination, the average price level is determined by prices for India.

From 2012 to 2022, the rate of growth in terms of prices for India amounted to +5.6% per year.

Imports in Southern Asia

After six years of growth, supplies from abroad of amplifiers decreased by -52.6% to X units in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a resilient expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 101%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then reduced rapidly in the following year.

In value terms, amplifier imports dropped remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 69% against the previous year. The level of import peaked at $X in 2021, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

Imports by Country

India prevails in imports structure, finishing at X units, which was near 93% of total imports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Bangladesh (X units), comprising a 4.6% share of total imports.

India was also the fastest-growing in terms of the amplifiers imports, with a CAGR of +13.3% from 2012 to 2022. Bangladesh (-4.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. India (+25 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total imports, while Bangladesh saw its share reduced by -14.7% from 2012 to 2022, respectively.

In value terms, India ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported amplifiers in Southern Asia, comprising 93% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Bangladesh ($X), with a 4% share of total imports.

In India, amplifier imports increased at an average annual rate of +12.5% over the period from 2012-2022.

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Southern Asia stood at $X per unit in 2022, increasing by 19% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern.
