Exports by Country

The shipments of the one major exporters of chandeliers, namely India, represented more than two-thirds of total export.

India was also the fastest-growing in terms of the chandeliers exports, with a CAGR of +3.8% from 2020 to 2022. The shares of the largest exporters remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In general, imports posted a remarkable increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 113%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, chandelier imports fell slightly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 62% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, India (X units), distantly followed by Pakistan (X units), Sri Lanka (X units) and Bangladesh (X units) represented the major importers of chandeliers, together mixing up 91% of total imports. Maldives (X units) and Nepal (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Bangladesh (with a CAGR of +27.6%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, India ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported chandeliers in Southern Asia, comprising 50% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Pakistan ($X), with a 22% share of total imports. It was followed by Bangladesh, with a 13% share.
