Moreover, India emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in Southern Asia, with a CAGR of +8.1% from 2012-2021. While the share of India (+5.2 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Pakistan (-4.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.

In value terms, Pakistan ($X) remains the largest concentrated apple juice supplier in Southern Asia, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by India ($X), with an 18% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of value in Pakistan amounted to -11.6%.

In 2021, the export price in Southern Asia amounted to $X per ton, rising by 2% against the previous year. Over the last nine years, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.9%. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the export price increased by 43% against the previous year. As a result, the export price attained the peak level of $X per ton. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 59%. At the same time, Nepal (+42.4%), Maldives (+35.4%), Afghanistan (+25.3%) and Bangladesh (+8.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Nepal emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Southern Asia, with a CAGR of +42.4% from 2012-2021. While the share of India (+22 p.p.), Afghanistan (+13 p.p.) and Maldives (+3.9 p.p.) increased significantly, the shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, India ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported concentrated apple juice in Southern Asia, comprising 76% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Afghanistan ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Maldives, with a 3.9% share.

In India, concentrated apple juice imports increased at an average annual rate of +5.4% over the period from 2012-2021. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Afghanistan (+17.7% per year) and Maldives (+27.5% per year).
