The volume of import peaked at X units in 2020, and then shrank notably in the following year.

In value terms, electric radiator imports fell to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed moderate growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when imports increased by 174% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2015 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

In 2021, India (X units) was the main importer of electric radiators and convection heaters, committing 69% of total imports. Nepal (X units) held the second position in the ranking, followed by Bangladesh (X units). All these countries together held near 25% share of total imports. Pakistan (X units) held a minor share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to electric radiator imports into India stood at +8.8%. At the same time, Bangladesh (+20.0%) and Nepal (+13.7%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bangladesh emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Southern Asia, with a CAGR of +20.0% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Pakistan (-2.0%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. The second position in the ranking was held by Nepal ($X), with a 10% share of total imports. It was followed by Pakistan, with an 8% share.

In India, electric radiator imports increased at an average annual rate of +8.9% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Nepal (+13.6% per year) and Pakistan (-0.5% per year).

Import Prices by Country

The import price in Southern Asia stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 16% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, recorded a perceptible curtailment. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 an increase of 172% against the previous year. As a result, import price attained the peak level of $X per unit.
