While the share of Nepal (+17 p.p.), Pakistan (+7.4 p.p.) and India (+5.1 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2022, the share of Afghanistan (-2.3 p.p.) and Maldives (-23.1 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, India ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported chocolate bars with cereals, fruit or nuts in Southern Asia, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Nepal ($X), with a 24% share of total imports. It was followed by Maldives, with a 9.3% share.
In India, imports of chocolate bars with cereals, fruit or nuts expanded at an average annual rate of +21.1% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Nepal (+36.5% per year) and Maldives (+0.6% per year).
Import Prices by Country
