In value terms, Pakistan ($X) remains the largest secateurs supplier in Southern Asia, comprising 71% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by India ($X), with a 29% share of total exports.

Imports into India increased at an average annual rate of +19.6% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Bangladesh (+53.8%), Nepal (+26.2%) and Sri Lanka (+4.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Bangladesh emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in Southern Asia, with a CAGR of +53.8% from 2012-2021. Afghanistan experienced a relatively flat trend pattern. While the share of India (+15 p.p.), Bangladesh (+7.5 p.p.) and Nepal (+3.3 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total imports from 2012-2021, the share of Sri Lanka (-10.8 p.p.) and Afghanistan (-15.7 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, India ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported secateurs and similar one-handed pruners and shears in Southern Asia, comprising 76% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Afghanistan ($X), with an 8.2% share of total imports. It was followed by Bangladesh, with a 5.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in India totaled +11.7%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Afghanistan (+3.7% per year) and Bangladesh (+56.3% per year).
