The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2018 when imports increased by 120% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, wood kitchenware and tableware imports surged to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a prominent expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 76% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

India prevails in imports structure, recording X tons, which was near 86% of total imports in 2021. It was distantly followed by Pakistan (X tons), constituting a 9.8% share of total imports. Nepal (X tons) held a little share of total imports.
