The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.4% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In 2021, India (X tons) represented the main importer of textile products and articles for technical uses, achieving 70% of total imports. Bangladesh (X tons) took the second position in the ranking, followed by Pakistan (X tons). All these countries together held approx. 25% share of total imports.
