Overall, imports saw a resilient increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 with an increase of 3,476%. Over the period under review, imports of reached the peak figure at X cubic meters in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, imports of wood chips, parts, residues, pellets and other agglomerates skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports recorded buoyant growth. At the same time, Bangladesh (+16.2%), Pakistan (+14.1%), Bhutan (+6.2%) and India (+6.0%) displayed positive paces of growth.
