In 2021, the import price in Southern Asia amounted to $X per square meter, growing by 5.5% against the previous year. Overall, the import price, however, continues to indicate a slight shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 10%. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs at $X per square meter in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Nepal ($X per square meter), while Bangladesh ($X per square meter) was amongst the lowest.
