The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 with an increase of 49%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, ball bearing imports surged to $X in 2021. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +1.7% from 2012 to 2021; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of ball bearing to Spain, with a 33% share of total imports. Moreover, ball bearing imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Italy (X tons), with a 12% share.

Prices varied noticeably country of origin: the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per ton), while the price for India ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
