For the third year in a row, the Spanish wood barrel market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -16.9% to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, consumption, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. Wood barrel consumption peaked at $X in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, consumption failed to regain momentum.

Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.
