In value terms, sunflower seed exports shrank significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, recorded a measured expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 44% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
