The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 362% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

France (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Portugal (X tons) were the main destinations of triticale exports from Spain, with a combined 91% share of total exports.

In 2022, triticale imports into Spain reduced remarkably to X tons, with a decrease of -15.5% compared with 2021. In general, imports, however, enjoyed a significant expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2020 when imports increased by 2,091%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2021 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

France (X tons), Poland (X tons) and Lithuania (X tons) were the main suppliers of triticale imports to Spain, with a combined 95% share of total imports. Latvia and Luxembourg lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 4.5%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Luxembourg (with a CAGR of +466.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest triticale suppliers to Spain were France ($X), Poland ($X) and Lithuania ($X), with a combined 95% share of total imports. Latvia and Luxembourg lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 4.5%.
Luxembourg, with a CAGR of +348.3%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average triticale import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 25% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 an increase of 42% against the previous year. Over the period under review, average import prices attained the maximum in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.
Average prices varied noticeably amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the highest price was recorded for prices from Latvia ($X per ton) and Poland ($X per ton), while the price for Luxembourg ($X per ton) and France ($X per ton) were amongst the lowest.
