Barley Market Size in Sri Lanka

In 2022, purchases abroad of barley decreased by -17.6% to X tons, falling for the fourth year in a row after four years of growth. In general, imports showed a perceptible descent. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 382%. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, barley imports declined to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, enjoyed a noticeable expansion. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 401%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
