Exports from Sri Lanka

In 2022, the amount of non-electric industrial or laboratory furnaces and ovens exported from Sri Lanka reduced notably to X units, dropping by -98.6% on the year before. Over the period under review, exports faced a dramatic shrinkage. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 346% against the previous year. In 2022, non-electric industrial furnace imports into Sri Lanka skyrocketed to X units, with an increase of 60% against the previous year. In general, imports enjoyed a remarkable increase. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 167% against the previous year. Imports peaked in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.

In value terms, non-electric industrial furnace imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports continue to indicate a prominent increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 when imports increased by 406% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

The UK (X units), China (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of non-electric industrial furnace imports to Sri Lanka, together accounting for 90% of total imports.
