The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when exports increased by 508% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Bangladesh (X tons) was the main destination for exports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds from Sri Lanka, with a 60% share of total exports. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 136% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports of reached the maximum at X tons in 2021, and then reduced notably in the following year.

In value terms, imports of organo-sulphur compounds and other organo-inorganic compounds contracted notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports recorded a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 77%. Imports peaked at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
