In value terms, cattle hide and skin exports dropped notably to $X in 2018. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a moderate increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when exports increased by 478%. As a result, the exports attained the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2018, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

India (X tons) was the main destination for cattle hide and skin exports from Sri Lanka, with a approx. 99% share of total exports.
