In value terms, cellulose fibrecement sheet exports surged to $X in 2022. In general, exports enjoyed a significant expansion. Pakistan (X tons) was the main destination for cellulose fibrecement sheet exports from Sri Lanka, with a 71% share of total exports. Overall, imports saw a precipitous curtailment. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 19% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, cellulose fibrecement sheet imports shrank remarkably to $X in 2022. In general, imports recorded a dramatic shrinkage.
