Imports into Sri Lanka

In 2021, approx. X tons of tableware and kitchenware of wood were imported into Sri Lanka; which is down by -43.3% compared with the year before. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a temperate increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 361%. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, wood kitchenware and tableware imports shrank notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed perceptible growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when imports increased by 427%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X.
