The Sudanese toy market contracted to $X in 2021, falling by -13.3% against the previous year. Overall, consumption continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. Tanzania (X kg), Ethiopia (X kg) and Saudi Arabia (X kg) were the main destinations of toy exports from Sudan, together comprising 37% of total exports.

Imports into Sudan

In 2021, imports of dolls and toys into Sudan shrank to X tons, which is down by -12.9% compared with 2020. Overall, imports, however, saw a strong expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2016 when imports increased by 211% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
