In value terms, jam, jelly, puree and paste imports shrank rapidly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 101%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Egypt (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of jam, jelly, puree and paste to Sudan, accounting for a 50% share of total imports. Moreover, jam, jelly, puree and paste imports from Egypt exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Turkey (X tons), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Syrian Arab Republic (X tons), with a 5.4% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Egypt amounted to +6.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+41.8% per year) and Syrian Arab Republic (-13.2% per year).
In value terms, Egypt ($X) constituted the largest supplier of jams, jellies, puree and pastes to Sudan, comprising 56% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Syrian Arab Republic, with a 5% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from Egypt stood at +11.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+38.8% per year) and Syrian Arab Republic (-10.4% per year).
