In value terms, green coffee exports soared to $X in 2022. Overall, exports, however, saw a slight decline. The exports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Latvia (X tons), Norway (X tons) and Denmark (X tons) were the main destinations of green coffee exports from Sweden, together comprising 81% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Latvia (with a CAGR of +146.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Brazil (X tons) constituted the largest green coffee supplier to Sweden, accounting for a 36% share of total imports. Moreover, green coffee imports from Brazil exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Peru (X tons), threefold. Honduras (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Brazil was relatively modest. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Peru (+2.4% per year) and Honduras (+0.7% per year).

In value terms, Brazil ($X) constituted the largest supplier of coffee (green) to Sweden, comprising 32% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Peru ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Honduras, with an 8.7% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from Brazil amounted to +1.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Peru (+3.8% per year) and Honduras (+1.8% per year).

The average green coffee import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, rising by 42% against the previous year. In general, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. As a result, import price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Kenya ($X per ton), while the price for Vietnam ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Belgium (+3.4%), while the prices for the other major suppliers experienced more modest paces of growth.
