Date Market Size in Sweden

The Swedish date market fell to $X in 2022, shrinking by -11.8% against the previous year. This figure reflects the total revenues of producers and importers (excluding logistics costs, retail marketing costs, and retailers' margins, which will be included in the final consumer price). Over the period under review, the total consumption indicated a remarkable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.0% over the last decade. Denmark (X tons) was the main destination for date exports from Sweden, accounting for a 60% share of total exports. Moreover, date exports to Denmark exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Norway (X tons), threefold. Finland (X tons) ranked third in terms of total exports with a 12% share.
