In value terms, modified starches imports skyrocketed to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, recorded a mild slump. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

Imports by Country

France (X tons), the Netherlands (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main suppliers of modified starches imports to Sweden, with a combined 82% share of total imports. Finland, Denmark and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Italy (with a CAGR of +49.4%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
